Titanium hardtail perfection.
Few things match the purity of a hardtail on singletrack. Lightweight climbing, quick rail-precise handling of a descent… these hallmarks of a hardtail connect rider with bike in a unique way. It’s cross country riding in its purest form; hardtails deliver pure reward.
But… hardtail done in titanium? That, my friend, is the gold standard of cross country and trail riding. As trails get rougher, it shines on quick singletrack; stiff on the punchy climbs and forgiving on the roughest descents in a way no other material can match. It’s that chase for perfection that has resulted the quintessential XC/trail frame: the Pinhoti.
A nod to a heralded (and rugged) trail system in north Georgia just south of our Tennessee factory, the Pinhoti is a study in evolving cross country technology. As trail systems (and the way we ride them) evolve, it meant creating a hardtail with unyielding torsional stiffness when sprinting or climbing. We’ve also made the Pinhoti versatile enough for any rider, available in two versions: a speed-hungry 29er build, as well as a 27.5+ build that accommodates for the added footprint while delivering the confident traction and technical handling advantage found in 27.5+ tires.
Built on a titanium platform with a compact rear-center and a short wheelbase, maneuverability of the Pinhoti is next-level. Slash through tight switchbacks and carry momentum over big rocks with deft ease.
And of course, no other hardtail frame can be tuned for compliance the way a titanium Pinhoti can. We’ve engineered every tubeset for balance; a racy rear-center for speed and precision, elevated seat stays that yield support and stability for a balanced center, and vertical compliance touches that allow us to accommodate for high-resonance damping. The result is a forgiving ride on rocky, technical terrain, without sacrificing out-of-saddle stiffness. The Pinhoti is quick and responsive when working the pedals, yet centered and stable when things get rough. It’s this full roundhouse capability that allows us to herald the Pinhoti as theperfect titanium hardtail mountain bike.
For those that truly want it all, your Pinhoti can be made yours in every way. From a threaded T47 bottom bracket upgrade to Shimano Di2-specific frame options, our team in Chattanooga, Tenn. is ready to help make your Pinhoti ride your definition of perfection. Just call or live chat with us!
