 | | Jono | | London (although from New Zealand) | | 96 Tellico | Most of all, I enjoy technical singletrack, but Britain has begun to show me the joys of epic xc racing (epic technical singletrack is a lot harder to find in Britain than in NZ!). Later this year I'm entering the "Iron Lemming" - a 213km two-day offroad race in the hills of South Wales. It's got about 13,000 feet of climbing, and is going to be a bit of a challenge...especially since I would classify myself as more of a short-course rider.
My bike has undergone many component changes over the years, but I still can't see a reason to replace the frame. It climbs like a beast possessed, accelerates faster than anything I've seen, and handles singletrack at speed like a dream. And I can't think of another bike that I would still want to own after six years, let alone a bike that would still be in perfect shape! |
