 | | Les Howarth | | Gargrave, UK | | 2006 Ghisallo | For the record I am 54 years of age and cycling is my main hobby with swimming coming a close second.
My Litespeed Ghisallo. It has Full Dura-Ace, Ksryium Elite wheels and K-Sword carbon handlebars. The seatpin and seatpost are made of Titanium to match the bike. These were made by a company called Real Design...the same company that made the forks. Up hills the bike is awesome, very comfortable for all day riding. Bit twitchy on descents but getting used to it. This is obviously due to the fact that it is very light. All in all a wonderful machine. Yesterday I did the Fred Whitton challenge and finished in under 7hrs which makes me an Elite rider. This is probably the toughest ride on the calendar with some of the gradients being 30% and less on the hairpins. I think I came 47th although it as yet to be confirmed. The final places have not yet been posted on the website. Also I will be doing the E'tape De Dales in 2 weeks so I should be feeling fairly fit after yesterday's ride and then in three weeks time I am doing the Yorkshire Classic. Between those two rides I will be squeezing 10 days in Benidorm but my bike will be going with me:-) |
