 | | Bret Waldron | | Laramie, Wyoming | | 2001 Pisgah | Hello, my name is Bret Waldron from Laramie, Wyoming. I am a college student and race for the University of Wyoming Cycling Team. I also the proud owner of a 2001 Pisgah which I picked up the spring of 2004 brand new. The bike is outfitted with full XT and Crossmax 517 wheels. It had just been sitting in a local bike shop and apparently nobody could justify buying that much bike until I came along. I lost sleep over the thing and the day after I spotted it I put a deposit down on it. I just couldn't resist the titanium frame.
I have not yet had the opportunity to race it yet, however we have rode some good rides together in the Happyjack area outside of Laramie, and around Sedona, Arizona where the attached picture was taken. In less than two weeks the bike, and myself, will be put to the test in an enduro. I am positive that the bike is up for the task, and I hope that I am as well.
The bike is babied and pampered and sleeps with me on my wall next to my bed. It is the best possible dream toy that I could ever imagine having, especially after upgrading from an old Voodoo that my coach let me borrow for my first year of riding! The bike will be even more awesome once I upgrade it to full XTR sometime in the future. |
