I'm a trail rider, I've bought my first mountainbike in 1989 and racing some mountain marthon race from 40 to 100 km since 1993. I have a road bike too: Pinarello Prince with Shimano Durace and Mavic Ksirium wheels.
I've had mountainbike of various type (alluminum, iron, rigid, front and full suspended) but I've never tried a titanium frame. In december 2002 I've bought my first titanium frame assembled by myself with FSA Carbon pro crankset, bottom bracket and stem, Easton seatpost, San Marco saddle, SRAM shift and chain, Shimano front and rear deraileur and cassette, Marzocchi Marathon SL fork, Magura Marta SL brakes and Mavic wheel with Hutchinsons tires.
Although received the frame in december '02 the last component arrives this february, so I've just assembled the bike (the rear brake is still coming so in the meanwhile I've mounted a Grimeca freeride brake) . I've rode my new Lookout only few hour, the verdict on techical trail: perfect! |
