 | | J Kleinwaks | | n/a | | Siena | | Was riding a nice comfortable 853 steel bike but at 21 1/4 lbs was at a significant disadvantage to the 16 lbs bikes that are now commonplace. Liked the Litespeed Siena as it seemed a good combination of stiffness (for sprinting) and lightness (for climbing rides.) As I tell my friends, I got an Ultegra equipped bike, but by the time I got finished with it only the front derailleur, brakes and shifters remained. Set up with a compact cranks. Bike weighs in at 18 1/4 lbs. Acceleration is much better than my old bike, climbs nicely, and unintended bonus is that it tracks downhill much much better. Though makes no logical sense, as founding member of Gruppo Pumpkincycle Bike Club, needed bike painted orange--came out nicely. |
